ChoreShark

From the maker

Why I made ChoreShark.

A note about chores, getting behind, and finding a way forward.

I made ChoreShark because a chore list should answer one useful question: what should I do next?

That sounds obvious, but lists have a habit of turning into a record of everything you did not do. Miss a few things, open the list again, and it can feel like the whole week is waiting for you. I wanted something that could help you move forward without pretending that getting behind was the end.

ChoreShark keeps what needs doing in view and lets the rest wait until it matters. You can open it, choose the next thing, and get on with your day. The goal is not to make you spend more time managing a list. It is to make the list feel manageable.

Schedules that bend so you don’t break

Repeating to-dos are part of that. If one keeps slipping, ChoreShark can quietly give it more space. When you get back into a steady run, it can return to the original rhythm. Any change is shown to you, with a clear choice to undo it or keep it. The schedule can adapt, but you stay in control.

Target rhythm Every 3 days

Chores recur on the schedule you set as long as you’re keeping up.

Three misses Eases to 5 days

The cadence gives you room instead of piling up red badges.

Progress you can actually feed

Finishing something should feel good, too. Completed work earns food for your shark, but the shark does not eat automatically. Feeding is a separate choice you make in the aquarium. Your effort adds up in the tank, and you decide when to enjoy it.

Completed tasks earn food for the tank. Feeding is always your choice, and missing a chore never hurts the shark.

Together or on your own

You can use ChoreShark on your own. If sharing helps, you can also create a household and invite other people into the same list and tank. That is useful, but it is not a requirement. The heart of the product is still the same: know what to do next, make some progress, and have a way back after a difficult stretch.

That is what I wanted ChoreShark to be: quiet when life is busy, forgiving when plans slip, and worth opening again tomorrow.

Get started

Add your first chore. Start your tank.

It takes a minute to set up. Add the work once, tick it off when it’s done, and feed your shark when you’re ready.
